It's been longer than this, love.

One Year, Six Months - Yellowcard

Sew this up with threads of reason and regret
So I will not forget. I will not forget
How this felt one year six months ago
I know I cannot forget. I cannot forget

I'm falling into memories of you and things we used to do
Follow me there
A beautiful somewhere
A place that I can share with you

I can tell that you don't know me anymore
It's easy to forget, sometimes we just forget
And being on this road is anything but sure
Maybe we'll forget, I hope we don't forget

I'm falling into memories of you and things we used to do
Follow me there
A beautiful somewhere
A place that I can share with you

So many nights, legs tangled tight
Wrap me up in a dream with you
Close up these eyes, try not to cry
All that I've got to pull me through is memories of you
Memories of you
Memories of you
Memories of you

I'm falling into memories of you and things we used to do
Follow me there
A beautiful somewhere
A place that we can share
Falling into memories of you and things we used to do

I'm back

It has been over two years since my last post. So many things have changed I don't even know where to start! Well, first off, I no longer live with my family. I'm a big girl now? :) I took a job as a live-in nanny, and we live in Forest Falls, just a few miles up the road from Forest Home, the christian camp I grew up attending every summer. I actually had the pleasure of working as a lifeguard at Forest Home this past summer, which is where I met Josie and Jarrell, the parents of the children I watch every day:)
So as my initial reintroduction to blogging, I will keep this short: I'll be 19 years old in a week, I'm not going to school yet, but working. I don't exactly know what God wants to do with my life, but I'm searching. I will try to update this blog on a more regular basis, as a way of sharing my new life. au revoir

Homecoming 08

October 18th, 2008 was Calvary Murrieta's homecoming. We had a good time, the boys looked spiffy and the girls (I have to say) looked pretty darn good:) These four people are my best friends and God has blessed me hugely with these kids!

The group:)

YAY!

I can bend my leg! haha. PT huuuuuurt today, but when i got home, i realized i could bend my knee getting out of the car and stuff! How exciting.

Anyway . . . I'm basically posting because I have nothing else to do and i only have like, twelve posts on this retarded thing. haha.

Sooooooo yeahh. Shannon decided to make a photoshoot out of me, so these are the product of her joyous work. lol. It was entertaining, to say the least. =]

How Great is Our God!

YUCK! I officially hate shopping. More than anything and ever before. I think Satan only made malls to make girls feel ugly and discouraged as they walk around wishing they could fit those clothes; wishing they were as pretty as those models; wishing their bodies and faces looked different from how God made them. I came across part of this sermon, and I really liked his point:

Jesus said the devil is a thief who comes "to steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10). And every time God does something good in your life, the devil is there with some cheap shot he wants to use to rob you of the joy of what God has done. Don't fall for it. It's like you've just won the Super Bowl, you're walking off the field, and your defeated opponent says, "I'll make you pay for this." And he gives you a bloody nose. Yeah, he hurt you a little, but he can't change the outcome. You still won, and nothing he can do can change the victory. So when the joy-robber comes in after the victory and tries to get you all focused on yourself, you tell him, "I know who this is, and I am not falling for it! We won, and you can't change it!"

Life won't always be "flying high" moments like Elijah's Mt. Carmel, but you can be consistently joyful and hopeful and positive, even when some of the air goes out of your balloon. Because "the joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10) - not the joy of your circumstances. It's your Lord who inflates you with His joy, His victory, so you don't have to lie deflated in a corner ever again!

So I decided that I'm not going to let Satan bring my focus back onto myself, walking around that mall wishing I was beautiful. Because . . .according to my Creator . . . I AM beautiful and he loves me, and he's never going to let me down. What a great God we serve!

PT

Blech. Physical Therapy is the worst. They have this awesome ice machine that puts pressure on your knee and ices it down real well, then kinda squeezes the gross fluid so it goes away . . . doesn't hurt, it just feels weird. and VERY cold! lol. But bending is the absolute worst. I wanted to cry, but there were people there, so of course i couldn't. lol. Buut yeahh. The PT guy is super funny, and what's really weird is he says everything the Klein boys say. Like "not gonna lie; nice!" etc. haha. Anyway, I'll be going three times a week for a month, and while I'm there i'll be doing volleyball specific workouts . . . this guy was a pro beach vball player and he's going to bring a ball and pepper with me during the last few weeks! =D I'm so excited. Sooo yeahh, this just goes to show how awesome God is: He gave my family a great doctor to fix my knee, then found a close PT guy to bring me back to strength to play at the school he opened up for me! THANKS LORD!!! =D

We pretty much had an amazing time . . . laughter, tears, worship, and praise. God's pretty awesome, not gonna lie.

Jalepenos can clear a stuffy nose!

So I went to lunch with the Klein's plus Alex Paulsen after church on Sunday. We (of course) headed over to Rosa's Tortilla Factory. After Alex's meal, he decided he was still hungry and wanted just "one more thing!" Sooooo . . . he goes up to the salsa bar and grabs a jalepeno. Sits back down, looks around, and takes a massive bite. ewwwww!!! After chewing for a few minutes, he looked like nothing was wrong. Then all of a sudden his eyes got very red and he started sweating. Next thing we knew, he was crying like he'd just lost his mother! It was probably the funniest thing ever, but little did we know it was about to get better. =] Taylor, naturally, grabs the jalepeno and takes as big or bigger a bite than Alex. He immediately goes into spazm, getting up, pacing, fanning his mouth, and worse: moaning and complainly loudly! lol. He grabbed a tortilla and began stuffing it in his mouth, but it didn't help. he tried literally everything, and while he was searcing for something to cool his blazing mouth, Emily places a tiny seed on her mouth and, of course, goes into the same tirade as Tay. HAHA, so now Wes has to try, and took it much more calmly than the other three. however, he insisted it was "the worst idea he's had in a long time!" hahaha, while those three's eyes were watering from the jalepeno, Mrs. Klein and I couldn't help but cry from laughter at their hilariously dumb idea.

sweet.

I'm officially a lifeguard.
Yeahhh babe! haha. I passed my "in the water" final and I'm pretty stoked. It was really funny, though, this one kid (okay, so he's 20) was attempting a "two victim" rescue, so this guy Taylor (also 20) and I were the victims . . . after he had us in the correct hold or whatever and started swimming us to shore . . Tay decided that was too boring and starting tickling me!!! And YA'LL know how ticklish i am, sooo . . .needless to say . . . I flipped out! hahaha, so this poor guy is trying not to drown us, much less himself, while Taylor's tickling me and i'm laughing so hard i practically AM drowning! yeahhhhhh, that was so much fun. So anyway, ya'll should come visit me at work, kk?! =D

Thank you God!

So recently God has shown me that boys are not worth it! By putting my hope in guys' affection and attention, I am guaranteed to be disappointed and they are guaranteed to fail me . . . which I found out the hard way.
But by putting my HOPE and TRUST in God, I am "safe and secure from all alarm," meaning I will be saved from all this worldly crap thinking like the thought that you're only pretty based on what guys think of you. Which is LAME. haha. So anyway, God has taken away all feelings of anxiety and worry concerning boys and I want this to be an encouragement to all my gorgeous Junior High girls . . . don't place your hope in immature little boys who will tell you you're hott then drop you like a hot rock when they find another girl. Place your faith and hope in GOD, the creator of the universe who loves you with all his Heart!!! Thank you God!!!

I have a job!!!

Finally!!! I was just hired as a lifeguard at the Meadowview Community pool . . . pretty stoked on that. Good pay for doin nothing all day. heeeeeeck yessss! =] haha, but I'm kinda scared, too . . . for one Kim and my new boss said the be careful since the boys are gonna pick on me since I'm: "New and pretty" (I quote) so that's gonna be a bummer. haha. And also alot of these kids are not Christian nor do they have any moral values . . . and when I was around last year I got alot of grief for my belief. So I'm a little worried now about standing up for my faith, but I believe with God's help, He'll keep me strong and won't let me fall into the temptation put out there by worldly kids. I love my Jesus!! =]

Aww, this makes me so sad. I'm selling my horse, and I have a prospective buyer coming out tomorrow. Hopefully Molly gets sold tomorrow because she really needs to go . . . but I'm going to miss her! haha, so we took the horses out today and she was good for the most part, but she looked pretty bad. she needs to be completely remuscled. ah! haha. So yeahh, here she is.

I love Summer

Yeaaahhhh, k, so I haven't been on here in FOREVVERRRRR, but oh well.
Um . . .let's see. I basically have nothing interesting to talk about . . wait . . . nope.
K so we went to the beach on Saturday for Jessie Harrell's birthday party aaannddd I got INSANELY sun burnt. Curse the Irish!!! =/ Annnyway . . then we went again on Sunday. Hilarious. =] So Ryan and I played the license plate game the WHOLE day . . . basically I won. ;-] But yeahh, so we were walking in the parking lot to the pier, and there was a car without a license plate so I was about to hit him, when he told me I couldn't because there might be one on the front! Sooo . . . I started walking waaay faster to see the front of the car . . . NO LICENSE PLATE! So I spun around to hit Ryan, and (imagine this) I slipped and fell REALLY hard. hahaha, so I'm just sitting in the middle of the parking lot laughing, then I realize that these two really cute guys are sitting in their car DYYYYYING of laughter watching me. CRAAAPPP!!!! hahaha. But yeahh, that was pretty entertaining.
Then ya know how Emily and I WILL NOT walk on trap doors?? well . . . we were on the pier and I was about to walk over one . . . so I tried to get Ryan to move over without drawing too much attention, but he realized what I was doing and totally shoved me onto the trap door, so I screamed and planted both feet on either side of the trap door and then fell over. hahaha, people were looking at us really weird. that was hilarious, though. =] Ooohhh, goood times at the beach. haha. I love summer. =]

My Best Friend

href="http://www.blogger.com/%3Ca%20href=" target="_blank" action="'view&current=">Em and IThis is my bestie, Emily Elizabeth Klein. We've been friends since the 6th and 7th grade, and done countless dumb things together. =] We love to play chalk and swing at the park and take walks . . . . everything a 1st grader would be expected to do. She's always been soooo amazing to me and I can't think of a time she's let me down. I just pray she stays in California until we graduate, because we're going to Turkey, Ireland, Texas, and New Mexico together! =] I love youuu!!!

Summer 07, Forest Home

This past summer my sister and I went to Lakeview at Forest Home and spent an entire week with the most amazing Christian kids ever!! This was our cabin for that week, consisting of (left to right) Jourdan, Erin, Me, and Kathryn. (plus Kim). We adopted this creek as our playground and spent nearly every day doing something entertaining like . . . playing in the mud, tossing rocks and making the biggest (or smallest) splash, and other dumb kid things. =] Basically the best week of my life. I love you guys!!!

My poor Baby!!!

This is one of my all-time-favorite little boys!!! This is Andrew Burke, I play basketball with his two older sisters. He's my baby and always come to watch my basketball practice. Just two weeks ago, he fell out of the back of his car and broke his collar bone. =[ He was sooo sad, until his daddy bought him a teddy bear, then all was right in the world!! He kinda looks like a bro with his hat like that, huh? I love himmm!!!!!!!!!

Disneyland Oh Seven!

This is at the Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, California, when we went to Disneyland for my mom's birthday. My sisters Shannon and Stephanie and I raced up and down the stairs everytime we took them . . . . the funniest thing was that Stephanie was wearing flipflops and would slip on the hardwood every time she turned a corner. So we were booking it up the down the stairs and Stephanie beat us all because . . . she fell head first down the rest of the steps. Everyone else was all concerned, but she and I had to sit down on the steps we were laughing soooooooo hard. I love my little sisters, they totally made that trip worthwhile. =]
